Actress Shell Kepler was best known for her work on General Hospital as "Nurse Amy Vining" from 1979 until 2002. She also worked on CHiPs, Port Charles, and Three's Company, along with the 1982 movie Homework with Joan Collins. Kepler was admitted to the hospital at Oregon Health & Science University and died the same day from renal failure. She was married and divorced twice. She is survived by a brother, Fred. Roy Richard Scheider was an Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actor, best known for his role as Chief Brody in Jaws. His famous line, "You're gonna need a bigger boat," was actually ad-libbed by Scheider. Diagnosed with cancer of the plasma cells in 2004, he underwent a bone marrow transplant and was in partial remission. His death was due to complications from a staph infection.
